As a Dominus, you will recruit and command a motley crew of ruthless fighters, manipulating them to achieve your goals. With their savagery tempered by your cunning, you will rise through the ranks of Roman society, crushing all who stand in your way.
This small-scale skirmish game enables players to control small gangs of 28mm miniatures, usually 5-10 per side, as they battle across Rome's streets and surrounding countryside. With as few as 20 warriors on each side, you can quickly dive into the heart of the action, and if you're seeking larger-scale battles, the game's flexible rules allow you to command retinues of up to 40 warriors or more.

Players select their force before each game based around a hero – perhaps a samurai, a masterless ronin, or even a warrior monk – along with one or two loyal companions and a variety of followers, who could be anything from clan soldiers to peasants.
Battles are swift and bloody as players alternate acting with one of their warriors – moving and fighting to achieve the objective of the scenario, whether that be cutting down the enemy, defending an outpost or finding and protecting a spy. As you play through the battles, your hero will use new skills, and perhaps even take the shameful path of deceit and trickery to gain victory – such choices are the ultimate test of honour.
