For The Barons' War: Fantasy Skirmish game, I've revisited the rules for Commanders and Command Groups in combat. These rules are currently in place as we prepare to lay out the fantasy compendium. I'm keen to hear what players of The Barons' War think.

Painting the Past: Uniforms in the High Medieval Period

Have you ever wondered what medieval soldiers actually wore? The First Barons' War period (1215-1217) predates the widespread use of uniforms in warfare. While heraldry was emerging, it wasn't yet codified, and the concept of livery (distinctive clothing worn by retainers) wasn't yet established. With no single answer to how soldiers dressed, it offers exciting freedom for painters like yourself.

Fantasy Profile Modifiers for The Barons' War v.1

You can apply the modifiers shared here to any of The Barons' War warrior profiles to create a fantasy version. It will enable you to take most (<~my inserted caveat ) of the profiles from The Barons' War: A Medieval Skirmish Game and change them to work for one of the initial four fantasy factions - Human, Orc, Elf and Dwarf.
